My way

Recently winner of the "Blues, Funk & Soul" category in the Galician Music Awards (Premios Martín Códax da Música, 2016), this young Swiss-Galician singer and songwriter born in Geneva in 1988, and grew up in an environment full of multicultural melodies and rhythms. When she was six, she decided to begin studying music with violin lessons and later she tries a completely different instrument, drums. However, it was not until she took her first singing lessons at the age of eleven, that she felt that it was her calling. For more than ten years, she has been fully dedicating herself to music and she has also been involved in related artistic disciplines such as, interpretation and different styles of dancing.

After moving to Galicia in 2000, she decided to extend her musical studies and she attended the famous music school Estudio, Escola de música to study for several years a Professional Voice Diploma in Jazz and Modern Music. There, she also became a voice teacher and nowadays, she keeps teaching but independently since it is one of the things she likes the most in her profession.

Seeking to expand her knowledge and find new adventures and experiences, she traveled to Madrid, the Spanish capital. There, she graduated from 'Voice, Interpretation and Theater Techniques'at the Escuela Internacional de Artistas de Jesús Yanes(CEV, Madrid). Some of the teachers who participated in her training and artistic growth were Jesús Yanes, Miguel Pato, Sergio Espí, Victoria Dal Vera or Sara Represa among others.

Throughout her career, she has mastered her vocal technique with artists like Leo Giannetto, Ramón Bermejo, Jesús Yanes, Alexandra Morales and Helen Rowson who trained her in Voice Craft. Morever, as she has always been very motivated and curious to know about the worlds and universes of other artists, she attended various courses, seminars and master classes taught by Richard Bona, Dean Bowman, Scott Stroman, Celia Mur, Paul Farrington, Dani Reus, Victor Prieto...

Besides, she has worked on so many different musical projects such as the quartet of world music, Rastrexos Project (with whom she toured some of the best Galician, Spanish and Swiss stages for three years), the acclaimed and unique choir Coro da Rá, the distinctive vocal-theater improvisation group Soundlooping (Madrid), as well as The Rock Band Show, Odaiko Percussion group, the choir Coro Compostela Cine Classics, Tribute to Rachelle Ferrell (chorister), PLP, etc. She has also collaborated on the album Magnético Zen by Xoán Curiel, awarded 'Best Galician-Language Album' in the V Premios de la Música Independiente 2013 (Spain); in the children's book-CD 'En Cabárceno se oye cantar' by Susa Herrera and Carlos Calviño; the musical part of the show 'À part ça, globalement, plutôt ça va bien' by the Swiss-Tunisian showman Karim Slama. It is to be highlighted her performance with Rastrexos Project at the Festival Internacional do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira where they were semifinalists on his contest 'Proxecto Runas 2012'.

Already focused on her solo career, Nastasia spread her wings and in early 2014 she released her first music video, Voar, with which she won two awards at the I Certame de Canción de Autor en Galego, Best Artist and Best Original Song'. Voar, is part of a work composed entirely of her own songs called My Flight”  (November 2015), her first solo album, “one of the most exciting debuts of late 2015 in our country”, according to NOTODO.COM, the leading Spanish cultural magazine.

The LP, composed between Madrid and Galicia, and recorded at AlisRecords in Andalucía, brings together NeoSoul, Melodic Pop, NuJazz and World Music, all channelled through Nastasia's vocal personality. Eclectic, daring and especially authentic, “My Flight” arrives like a breath of fresh air, a different way to feel and share the vibe of the music. Created in absolute freedom, the songs reflect on the senses and the big questions of life through great hooks and intense lyrics. English has the starring role, but she also shows her feelings through her native French and Gallego.

Pure and honest, the talented Nastasia and her “My Flight” are here to wake up and shake up our souls, our hearts, ourselves, so let's fly!
